National All-Star Marching Band – Eligibility Requirements

At Musical Adventures by Poppins Travel Company, we are proud to bring together outstanding student musicians from across the country for an unforgettable performance and travel experience. The National All-Star Marching Band is designed for dedicated, high-achieving students who are ready to perform at a high level while representing their schools and communities with pride.

Students wishing to apply must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Student Eligibility

• Must be a current middle school or high school student (grades 8–11) during the application period. (Grades 9 - 12 for 2026-27 school year)

• Must be actively involved in a school band program (marching band, concert band, or similar ensemble). 

• Applications will be accepted for wind players, battery percussion, and color guard.

• Students without access to a marching band may still apply with a strong musical background.

Musical & Audition Requirements

• All applicants must complete and submit a video audition following the official audition guidelines.

• Students should demonstrate a high level of musical proficiency, including tone quality, technique, rhythm, and musicality appropriate for their experience level.

Commitment & Participation

• Accepted students must commit to full participation in all rehearsals, performances, and scheduled activities.

• Attendance at all program events is required to ensure the success of the ensemble.

Academic & Behavioral Expectations

• Students must remain in good academic standing at their school.

• All participants are expected to demonstrate professionalism, respect, and positive behavior as ambassadors of their school and the program.

Travel & Program Requirements

• Participants must be able to travel and adhere to all program guidelines, including supervision policies and codes of conduct.

• Parent or guardian consent is required for all accepted students.

• Families must agree to all financial and logistical commitments associated with participation. Detailed financial information will be provided soon.

Chaperone/Supervision Requirements

Each participant must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years of age or older. This requirement may be fulfilled by a parent/guardian or family member, who may share a hotel room with the participant, or by the participant’s band director. Directors serving in a chaperone role will be assigned their own accommodations and may supervise up to ten (10) eligible and accepted performers.

Application Completion

• All required materials—including the application form and audition videos—must be submitted by the published deadline. (Early Applications - June 15, 2026)(Additional Applications September 1, 2026)

• Incomplete or late applications may not be considered.
